Keep chosen sites out of
your browsing history
List the domains you would rather not keep. LinkSweepr removes every visit to them, all their subdomains, and each page underneath, the moment it is recorded.
Works on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. Free and open source.
A cleaner history, without changing how you browse
Chosen domains vanish
Every visit to a domain on your list is deleted from history the instant it is written, so it never shows up in the history page or the address bar.
Subdomains and paths, too
Blocking example.com also covers mail.example.com, app.example.com, and every page beneath them.
Sites keep working
Pages load normally and you stay signed in. LinkSweepr removes only the history entry, never a cookie, a session, or the page itself.
Nothing leaves your device
No servers, no sync, no analytics, no remote code. Your domain list lives in your browser's local extension storage and only there.
Catches single-page apps
In-app navigations that never trigger a full page load, the kind modern web apps use, are detected and swept along with ordinary visits.
Block in one click
Click the toolbar button to add the site you are on to your list on the spot. The popup also shows how many domains are being filtered.
Three steps, then it runs on its own
Add it to your browser and open the options page
Install from the store or load it as an unpacked extension, then open LinkSweepr's options.
List the domains you want kept out of history
One domain per line. A live preview shows exactly which domains will be filtered and flags any line that is not a valid domain. Changes save automatically.
Let it sweep
Matching visits are removed as they happen. On install, at startup, on a periodic alarm, and whenever you edit the list, LinkSweepr also sweeps existing history for anything that matches.

Get LinkSweepr
LinkSweepr is live on the Chrome Web Store. It installs on both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, since Edge adds Chrome Web Store extensions directly. You can also install it from source.
Prefer to build it yourself? Follow install from source in the tutorial, or grab the code on GitHub.
Your history is yours
LinkSweepr does not transmit, sync, or share any browsing data with any server or third party. The only data it stores is the domain list you type, held in local browser storage. Uninstalling removes it.
